1. Who we are

Promptropolis ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by Blackmoon Studios. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@promptropolis.app.

2. What data the app stores

Promptropolis is a local-first application. All prompts, categories, tags, ratings, and version history that you create are stored on your device using Apple's iOS Preferences system. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server we operate.

Data stored locally on your device:

• The text content of prompts you save
• Titles, descriptions, categories, and tags you assign
• Star ratings, copy counts, and pinned status
• Up to 10 prior versions of each edited prompt
• Your theme preference (light/dark)
• A flag indicating whether you have purchased the ad-removal upgrade

To delete all of this data, simply delete the app from your device.

3. Data we do NOT collect

• We do not require you to create an account
• We do not collect your email address or name
• We do not have access to the prompts you save
• We do not log your activity on our servers (we do not operate any servers that the app communicates with)
• We do not track your location
• We do not access your photos, contacts, microphone, or camera

4. Third-party services

Google AdMob (advertising)

The free version of Promptropolis displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:

• Device identifiers (such as the IDFA) to deliver and measure advertisements
• Ad interaction data (impressions, taps, viewability) to count ad performance
• Approximate location and device information (country, device type, OS version) for ad serving

If you allow App Tracking Transparency when the app first asks, AdMob may show you ads personalised based on activity in other apps. If you decline, you will see only non-personalised ads. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Apple In-App Purchases

The "Remove Ads" upgrade is processed entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We do not see your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

5. App Tracking Transparency

When you first open Promptropolis (or first see an ad), iOS will ask whether you allow tracking. This prompt comes from Apple, not from us. Your answer determines whether AdMob can use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to personalise ads. The app works fully whether you allow tracking or not.

6. Children

Promptropolis is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children under 13. The app stores prompts locally only and does not transmit user-generated content to any server.

7. Data security

Because your data is stored on your device using iOS's built-in storage, it benefits from the same encryption and security protections that Apple applies to your device. We have no servers that hold your data and therefore no servers that could be breached.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: All your data is on your device and visible in the app at any time. The "Backup (JSON)" feature in the settings menu lets you export everything.
• Deletion: Delete individual prompts using the trash icon, or delete the app from your device to remove all locally stored data.
• Opt-out of personalised ads: Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change the setting in iOS Settings.
• Permanent ad removal: Purchase the "Remove Ads" upgrade for $2.99 (one time, not a subscription).

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be reflected in the app's release notes.
